Yeay! It’s time for my second Wishful Wednesday. It’s getting more and more exciting now. This time I want to participate in a giveaway created by Astrid from ‘Books To Share’ (who is the creator of this meme, as well, if you’re wondering).
There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it.
Then, at last, they found the cure.
Now, everything is different. Scientist are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.
But then, with only ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable
Why do I want to read this book? It’s because I think it has a nice story and probably because I’m expecting to read something science-related in this book. :p But, imagine a world without love. It must be really devastating. Based on the synopsis, eradicating love is the only cure to save human beings from suffering.
Yeah, sometimes love can makes us suffering, indeed. Haha.
ps : I hope that I can be one of that 2 giveaway winners. *pray*
